"Flygande Tunnan – en antologi" – "The Flying Barrel - an anthology"
The state-of-the art jet fighter Saab 29 was nicknamed the "Flying Barrel", due to its body shape.
Being the only Swedish fighter to fire in battle, the Flying Barrel served the in the Swedish Air Force, in Austria and in UN service in the Congo from early 1950's to the late 1970's.
Edited by Lennart Berns, a score of authors give their personal memories of this tiny but venerable jet fighter, once on par with the F-86 Sabre and the MiG-15.
